![]() The WiFi module is built into the motherboard on slim consoles and it’s a pretty annoying repair, console won’t go past the update until the module is replaced or you trick it with HDD pulling. This hdd pull sometimes tricks the console to fail the update and push out of loop ( you will have to try more than once to get the timing correct so bring a big bag of patience could also ruin the HDD so not recommended). Focus on the LED, the moment when it stops blinking (3-4% before freeze %) pull the HDD wait three seconds and return it. It’s usually 3-4% before where the percentage the consoles freezes on. Some people have been able to get by the loop by pulling the HDD out of the system the moment the LED hdd light on the front of the console stops blinking. Never update a PS3 that is showing signs of WiFi / Bluetooth failure, use this as a learning lesson. It’s now a brick until you get out of the update loop. Unfortunately updating your console was the worst thing you could do.
